Editor’s note: We invited readers to write letters to those they love this Christmas and share it with them through The Forum and here on Nicole’s blog. This is one of them.
Dear Jon,
You are an amazing man and my best friend!
The thing I love most about you is your great sense of humor. You make me laugh, our kids laugh and even laugh at yourself. You laugh at yourself when you walk into the mall, forget something in the car, turn around and walk back out to get it and cannot remember where the car is. We also nicely say you are rhythmically challenged (cannot not keep a beat). It is quite a sight on Sunday morning when the band is playing during service and you are trying to find the beat. But you laugh at yourself and keep trying.
You are so passionate about your love for God and the people of Fargo-Moorhead. You want everyone to have a relationship with Christ and are willing to do anything you can to help people start that relationship.
You are so supportive of every crazy idea I have (or the crazy ideas of our kids, Nate (15) and Brooke (3)). You jump on board and try to help us succeed.
Thank you for all you do to help our kids be amazing people! They love you so much and so do I! I cannot wait to spend the next 50 years with you.
